'Descale appliance' appears despite descaling cartridge

⚠ What This Means

The display shows 'Descale the appliance' even though a ready-to-use descaling cartridge has been fitted. Drinks cannot be made. Depending on water hardness and usage, the machine occasionally needs manual descaling via the maintenance programme in addition to automatic descaling.

  1. Obtain Miele descaling tablets (or a suitable descaling agent).
