'Fill and replace the water container' after switch-on, machine does not rinse

⚠ What This Means

After switching on, the display shows 'Fill and replace the water container' even though the container is filled and fitted. The appliance does not rinse. This indicates the coffee machine needs descaling.

🔧 How to Fix

  1. Switch the coffee machine off using the On/Off sensor.
  2. Wait approximately 1 hour.
  3. Switch the appliance back on again.
  4. As soon as 'Heating-up phase' appears, touch the sensor control and select 'Descale appliance'.
  5. Complete the descaling programme.
