Condenser needs cleaning (preventive)

What This Means

The condenser located behind the front grille has accumulated dust and lint. A dirty condenser can cause the SERVICE indicator to flash, temperature loss, extended run times, or mechanical failure and damage. This applies to all Built-In models.

🔧 How to Fix

  1. SAFETY: Shut off electricity at the control panel before cleaning. Wear gloves to avoid injury from sharp condenser fins.
  2. Remove the front grille (see grille removal instructions for your specific model type).
  3. Using a soft bristle brush, vacuum to remove dust and lint from the condenser.
  4. IMPORTANT: Vacuum in the direction of the fins (up and down) to avoid bending the condenser fins.
  5. Reinstall the grille after cleaning.
  6. Repeat this cleaning every 3 to 6 months.
