What This Means

The exterior cabinet of the freezer section feels warm or hot to the touch.

🔧 How to Fix

  1. Clean the condenser area. A dirty condenser causes excess heat buildup.
  2. Remove the grille and vacuum the condenser with a soft bristle brush, working in the direction of the fins (up and down).
  3. Clean the condenser every 3 to 6 months to prevent recurrence.
  4. If the exterior remains unusually hot after condenser cleaning, call Sub-Zero Customer Service at 800-222-7820.
