What This Means

The ice dispenser on the glasswell of Models 685 or 695 is not dispensing ice when the ICE key pad is pressed.

🔧 How to Fix

  1. Make sure the ice maker system is turned on and ICE is illuminated in the Control Center display panel.
  2. Make sure there is ice in the ice bucket.
  3. Verify the ice bucket is all the way in and engaging the auger motor at the back. Push the ice bucket in and press the ICE key pad on the glasswell at the same time.
  4. Ensure the freezer utility rack is properly installed, as improper installation can prevent the ice bucket from seating correctly.
  5. Check if the dispenser is locked: look for the red LOCK icon on the glasswell. If locked, hold the LIGHT key pad for approximately 5 seconds until the key pad lights flash and the LOCK icon turns off.
  6. Press the ICE key pad on the glasswell. If you do not hear auger motor noise, wait 5 minutes and try again.
  7. If you do not hear auger noise after the second try, call your Sub-Zero authorized service center.
  8. If ice has fused together from non-use, empty the ice bucket and allow fresh ice to be produced.
  9. Ensure the dispenser key pads are clean and dry when pressed.
