⚠ What This Means
The SERVICE indicator light is flashing in the Control Center display panel. This indicates that the condenser may need cleaning, or that one or more sections has been running too long. A temperature sensor may also be faulty.
🔧 How to Fix
- Remove the grille and clean the condenser using a soft bristle brush and vacuum. Vacuum in the direction of the fins (up and down) to avoid bending them. Wear gloves to avoid injury from sharp condenser fins.
- For framed/stainless louvered grilles: remove grille screws at the bottom (accessed with doors open), tilt forward at top, release springs behind grille, lift off.
- For overlay panel grilles: lift up, pull out at the bottom and down to release from mounting bracket.
- For Models 601R, 601RG, 601F louvered grille: remove two black screws in lowest louver, tilt bottom out.
- After cleaning the condenser, reinstall the grille and check if SERVICE light clears.
- If the condenser is clean and the SERVICE light continues to flash, turn the unit off using the UNIT ON/OFF key pad, then restart by pressing the key pad again.
- If SERVICE is still flashing after restart, a temperature sensor may be faulty. Call Sub-Zero Customer Service at 800-222-7820.
