What This Means

The refrigerator and/or freezer section is completely non-operational. No compressor noise, no fan noise, and no cooling.

🔧 How to Fix

  1. Verify there is electrical power to the unit: check that the power cord is plugged in securely.
  2. Check the home circuit breaker or fuse to ensure it has not been blown or tripped.
  3. Check the Control Center display: if OFF is shown, press the UNIT ON/OFF key pad to turn the unit on.
  4. Verify the refrigerator/freezer control is set (not turned off).
  5. Check if the condenser area is clean -- a clogged condenser can cause the unit to shut down.
  6. Check if a door or drawer has been left open for an extended period. Ensure food is not obstructing proper door or drawer closing.
  7. If the unit is still not running, it may be in its automatic defrost cycle. Wait 30 minutes and try to restart.
  8. If the unit still does not start after 30 minutes, call Sub-Zero Customer Service at 800-222-7820.
