SYMPTOM

Compressor Kicks Out on Overload

Appliance: Sub-Zero 700 Series Models: 700TR, 700TC/I, 700TF/I, 700BR, 700BF/I

What This Means

The compressor starts but then shuts off on its overload protector. The compressor may repeatedly attempt to start and then cut out. Causes include insufficient condenser airflow, a faulty relay/overload, locked rotor, system overcharge, or improper line voltage.

Caution: Line voltage must be between 105 VAC and 125 VAC. Improper line voltage can cause the compressor to overheat.

Sealed system overcharge (both pressures high)Evacuate system and recharge with correct amount
Improper line voltageMust be 105-125 VAC. Have line voltage corrected if out of range.
