The STAR burner requires more than four clicks of the igniter before the burner flame ignites. Each burner should light within 4 seconds or less. Delayed ignition is typically caused by an improperly seated burner cap.

🔧 How to Fix

1. Turn the burner knob to OFF and allow the burner to cool.
2. Lift the burner cap off the burner base.
3. Inspect the burner cap and base for debris, food residue, or damage.
4. Reseat the burner cap properly on the burner base — it should rest flat and completely cover the star-shaped base when viewed from above.
5. Gently try to move the cap side-to-side; if properly placed, it should not rock or wobble.
6. Turn the burner on and verify it lights within 4 seconds.
