Pump fault - cannot drain cooking space

Appliance: V-ZUG Combi-Steam Models: CSTXSL60F, CSTXSL60FY

What This Means

The display shows E78 / F24. The appliance cannot pump off water from the floor of the cooking space. This is caused by a fault or blockage in the drain pump, or by a faulty level-measurement sensor that makes the appliance pump continuously even though the floor is dry.

🔧 How to Fix

  1. Note down the serial number (FN on the identification plate) and call V-ZUG Customer Services.
  2. Close the stop cock for the water supply (fixed-water models).
  3. If the pump runs continuously with no water present: start Steam mode at 100 deg-C for 10 minutes and allow it to run fully through the automatic steam-reduction and rinsing cycles.
  4. Then start the appliance again and observe.
