SYMPTOM

No visible steam when steaming

Appliance: V-ZUG Combi-Steam Models: CSTXSL60F, CSTXSL60FY, CSSL, CSSL60c, CSSL60Y, CSTXSL60

What This Means

The appliance is running a steam operating mode but no visible steam can be seen in the cooking space. This is normal physics: steam (water vapour) is invisible above 100 deg-C. You only see 'steam' when it condenses into tiny water droplets at lower temperatures.

🔧 How to Fix

  1. No solution required. Steam is invisible above 100 deg-C.
  2. On the older CSTXSL60: allow the appliance to cool down before using steam mode. The steam supply does not start until the cooking space temperature falls below 100 deg-C.
